How is AI usage billed?

Built-in AI uses your provider API key. Model usage is billed directly by that provider. There are no SambaDocs AI credits, included allowances, or top-ups.

What about my own AI app?

Compatible MCP clients use their own account and model. A consumer ChatGPT or Claude subscription doesn’t replace the API key used for built-in AI.

Can I start without AI?

Yes. Create a knowledge base and write or import documents. Add AI connections and workflows whenever you need them.

Can I cancel Pro?

Cancel anytime. You keep Pro through the end of the current billing period.
